Hempel's Ecopower Prop: The Eco-Friendly Antifouling for Propellers and Outdrives
Hempel's Ecopower Prop is a biocide-free, self-renewing spray designed to prevent marine fouling on propellers and outdrives. Its unique technology makes it difficult for fouling organisms to attach, making them easy to dislodge during cleaning. This environmentally friendly solution ensures optimal performance and longevity for your propulsion system.
Key Features
- Biocide-Free Formula: Contains no biocides, making it an environmentally friendly choice for protecting your propeller and outdrive.
- Self-Renewing Technology: Advanced binder technology allows the coating to continuously renew itself, preventing paint build-up and maintaining a smooth surface.
- Easy to Clean: The unique surface prevents fouling from firmly attaching, making it easy to remove with regular cleaning.
- Enhanced Performance: Keeps your propeller and outdrive clean and smooth, ensuring optimal performance and fuel efficiency.
- Simple Application: Comes in a convenient spray can for quick and easy application.
Application Information
- Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Prime new or uncoated surfaces with Hempel's Light Primer followed by a tie coat of Hempel's Underwater Primer.
- Priming: For previously coated surfaces, remove loose matter and contaminants by high-pressure freshwater cleaning. If the existing antifouling is in poor condition, it is recommended that it be removed completely and the surface primed before applying Ecopower Prop.
- Application Methods: Apply by spray can.
- Conditions: Apply at temperatures above 10°C. Avoid applying in direct sunlight and ensure adequate ventilation.
