Making a Purchase

You can browse our online store and add items to your shopping basket. Once you've finished shopping, choose your delivery option and proceed to checkout. You'll be asked for a few details to complete your order. You can also specify a different delivery address from your billing address during the checkout process.

We accept Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards. We do not accept American Express.

While we strive for accuracy in product details and prices, errors may occur. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order with incorrect information, even if the order has been confirmed. If your card has been charged for a cancelled order, we will immediately issue a refund to your original payment method.

By submitting an order, you are making an offer to purchase goods. Your order is considered accepted and a binding contract is formed when we dispatch your order.

Dispatch Information

We aim to dispatch all orders within one working day. If your order is placed before 1 pm and all items are in stock, we may be able to dispatch it the same day.

Cancellation

Orders can be cancelled anytime before dispatch. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled during transit. However, this does not affect your right to return unwanted items. Please refer to our Returns Policy for more information.

Returns Policy - Consumers

If you change your mind about a purchase, you can return it for a refund or exchange within 14 days of receiving your order. You are responsible for all return shipping costs.

Items must be in resalable condition with all tamper seals unbroken. The following items are non-refundable:

  • Custom-cut fabrics
  • Special order pigments (BS, RAL, and customer-matched colours)

Returns Policy - Business/Commercial Customers

For business purchases (including commercial organizations, religious bodies, schools, or charities), returns and refunds are not automatically granted. However, we will work with you to find a solution if an issue arises.

To initiate a return, please notify us within 7 days of receiving your order. If your return is approved, you are responsible for all return shipping costs. Goods must be returned within 21 days of delivery and meet the same conditions as consumer returns (listed above).

Refunds

Upon receiving acceptable returned goods, a refund will be processed to the original payment method. The original shipping cost is non-refundable.

Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Purchases)

As a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving it. This right is in addition to your statutory rights and our standard returns policy.

To cancel your order, please email our Customer Service team at sales@boatpaints.com within 14 days of receiving your order.

Once you have notified us of your cancellation, please return the goods to the address above. Goods must be returned within 14 days of your cancellation notice. You are responsible for all return shipping costs and ensuring that the goods are adequately packaged. We recommend using a tracked shipping service. Please note that many of our items are classified as hazardous and can only be shipped by couriers who can handle these materials. We recommend getting a shipping quote before returning hazardous items.

Upon receiving the returned goods within the 14-day cancellation period, we will reimburse all payments, including delivery charges up to the value of our least expensive delivery method. The reimbursement will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.

Please note that the Right to Cancel does not apply to the following:

  • Custom-cut fabrics 
  • Special order pigments (BS, RAL, and customer-matched colours)
  • Custom-formulated resins/materials that are non-stock items
  • Any containers that have been opened or have broken tamper seals

Guarantee

Our materials are guaranteed and will be replaced if faulty. Polyester resins typically have a warranty of 3 months but can last 6-8 months if stored correctly. The information in our technical and safety literature is accurate to the best of our knowledge. However, we cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss resulting from the use of our products, as the application and conditions of use are beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability

Except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation, our liability is limited to £100,000. We are not liable for loss of profits or any special, indirect, or consequential losses.

Tax Charges

All orders include 20% VAT.

Privacy Policy

Boatpaints.com does not disclose customer information to third parties. We use cookies to keep track of your shopping cart contents, but no card or financial details are retained after payment processing.

Shipping

We currently ship within the UK and Ireland. Please ensure you include your mobile number on your order to be advised of delivery issues.

If you request a non-signature delivery, such as "leave at the back of house," neither we nor the courier are responsible for any loss. We do not recommend this option. It is much safer to rearrange delivery or collect from your local depot.
