Hempel's Favourite Varnish is a clear urethane alkyd varnish with a high-gloss, flexible, and durable finish. Its good resistance to seawater, sunlight, and adverse weather conditions makes it an ideal choice for both interior and exterior wood surfaces above the waterline.

Application Information
- Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants.
- New build: Sand and remove all dust. For new wood, saturate the surface with a suitable wood treatment and allow to dry.
- Maintenance and Repair: Abrade, clean, and dry the surface.
- Thinner: Use Hempel's Thinner 811.
- Application Method: Apply by brush or paint pad.
- Film Thickness: For best performance, avoid excessive film thickness.
- Application Conditions: Apply on a clean and dry surface with a temperature that is at least 3°C above the dew point.
- Drying and Overcoating: Follow the recommended drying times and overcoating intervals for best results.
